Bitmain sells out of the newest HNS HS3 Antminer in under 27 seconds.
Mining rigs from Bitmain frequently sell out, as evidenced by the Bitmain S19 Antminers, which were purchased in less than 24 hours. The Antminer HNS HS3, the business' most recent mining gear, has now sold out more quickly than ever.
The Antminer HNS HS3, which cost $2,092 per unit and was totally sold out in 27 seconds, was revealed by Bitmain on December 21st.
The HNS HS3 Antminer delivers a hash rate of 9 TH/s (terahashes per second) and a 2,079 watt power rating, according to Bitmain. This results in a 231 joules per terahash energy rating.
A challenging year for miners
The price of Bitcoin fell by 64% in 2022, making it less viable for miners to operate, even as mining difficulty and hash rates increased significantly.
The economics of bitcoin mining has also been negatively impacted by rising energy prices. Since the beginning of the year, the avalanche of causes has caused a more than 75% decline in mining profitability.
On the other hand
Antminer S19 XP is the sole flagship miner offered by Bitmain (NASDAQ:XP). It costs $6,164 per unit and offers a hash rate of 134 TH/s and 21.5 joules per terahash.
Despite this year's diminishing profitability, Bitmain's new Antminer's swift selling demonstrates that there is still interest in Bitcoin mining.
